Privacy policy for Quibbit

Playing without an account

You can play today's games without creating an account. Game progress, answers and preferences stay on your device. They are not uploaded as gameplay records unless you choose to sign in and sync them. Clearing Quibbit's app data or uninstalling it removes this local information.

Optional accounts and sync

Android accounts use your email address and password through Google Firebase Authentication. Firebase assigns an account identifier. We do not store your password in the game's progress database. If you use Google sign-in in the web edition, Google supplies the account information associated with that sign-in, including your name, email address, account identifier and any profile image.

When you sign in, Quibbit stores game saves and progress with your account: puzzle dates, answers or moves, completion status, scores and statistics contained in those saves. It also syncs preferences such as language, appearance and colour-clue assistance. You can choose whether to bring your guest progress into the account.

How information is used

We use account information to sign you in, secure your account and provide account management. We use gameplay information and preferences to save, restore and sync your progress. We use information you provide in a support request to answer it. We do not sell this information, use it for advertising or use it to train AI models.

Service providers and security

Google Firebase provides Authentication and Cloud Firestore for sign-in and cloud storage. It processes information on our behalf. Requests can also include technical information, such as IP addresses, needed by the service to deliver requests and protect against abuse. See Firebase's privacy information for its practices.

Cloud connections use HTTPS encryption in transit. Database access rules restrict signed-in players to their own progress. Service providers may process data in the United States and other countries. We may disclose information when required by law. If you choose to share a game result, you choose the destination through your device's sharing controls.

This website

These policy and support pages are hosted by Cloudflare. Cloudflare processes technical request information to serve and protect the site. The website uses cookie-free Cloudflare Web Analytics for aggregate traffic measurements. This website analytics service is separate from the Quibbit app, which has no analytics SDK. The website may remember your selected language in your browser.

Retention and account deletion

Guest information stays on your device until you clear it. Synced progress and your account remain until you delete them. In the app, sign in on the homepage, open Keep your progress → Delete account, type DELETE and confirm. You may first be asked to sign out and sign in again to confirm recent authentication. This removes the account, synced game progress, profile and any archive entitlement. Uninstalling alone does not delete a cloud account.

Without the app, follow the Quibbit account-deletion instructions. Requests are handled within 30 days after we can verify ownership. We do not intentionally retain deleted gameplay records. Provider security logs and backup copies, where applicable, follow the provider's retention processes, and records required by law may need to be retained.

Age and choices

Quibbit is intended for players aged 13 and older, and is not directed at children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided personal information, contact us so we can investigate and remove it. A higher local minimum age may apply to creating an account.

You may request access to, correction of, export of or deletion of your account information by emailing us from your registered address. We may need to verify ownership before acting on a request.
